QB: J'Bore Gibbs, 6'3 205, Chicago, IL (Phillips)
- Very excited about this dual threat playmaker. Throws and runs equally well. Led Philips to its second State Championship in three years. Turned down offers from MAC schools to be a Jackrabbit.
- Good athlete! Surprise to the class. Throws well on the move and has nice touch on the deep ball.
- Big rangy athlete. With his size and speed he is a matchup nightmare for defenses. Part of the Washington football dynasty.
- Only played one year of high school football but has raw talent. In just one season he had over 500 yards receiving. Chose to attend Wisconsin Football Coaches Association last summer, was spotted by SDSU coaches and was offered a scholarship without playing a live down of high school football.
- Best wide receiver in the state of South Dakota. Tons of potential and plays the ball well in the air. Won multiple State Championships for Gregory.
- An absolute mauler who has been coached by former Jackrabbit, Vince Benedetto. Mason is pumped to join his former teammates as part of the #605Hogs.
- Great athlete at the tackle position. First commit of this class and a great cornerstone on the offensive line.
- HUGE human being. Max played for the high powered Brandon Valley offense and create space through the air and on the ground.
- Former Brookings kid returns home. Again, a big man that will compete for reps on the interior of the offensive line after two years at IWCC.
OL: Ian Bass, 6'4, 280, Rosemount, MN
- Great kid that moves well in space. Can dominate at the point of attack and is athletic enough to get up on the second level.
- An absolute disruptive force at the defensive tackle position. High highlight tape is filled with plays in the backfield and seems to play with a nasty streak. Turned down late interest from other programs.
- Coaches have described Sanders as "Unblockable" during summer camp. Coach Smith has another member of the #chaingang to terrorize offensive lines in the years to come.
DL: Sam Willmott, 6'3 250, Rosemount, MN
- Willmott is a legacy Jackrabbit and is a disruptive force in the middle. Has the frame to add weight and is very athletic. Plays with great effort and has good footwork.
DE: Ryan Kluver, 6'5 240, Buffalo, MN
- Another player that we didn't know about before today. Looks to be explosive on the pass rush but has the size and strength to hold the edge.
- This may be one of the fastest kids I have watched off the line. His highlight tape is filled with jumping the snap and making life tough on opposing quarterbacks. Plays with tremendous effort.
- A big framed kid that moves really well. Appears to play with an attitude. His highlight tape shows a competitor. A year in a college weight room and on a college meal plan will do wonders.
- Great instincts and athleticism. Seems to have a nose for turnovers and is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. Also played high school quarterback. Led his team to an undefeated regular season.
- Hooper is a ballhawk who had 7 interceptions his senior season. Looks to possess good speed and isn't afraid to make a tackle in open space.
- Excited to have Garlisch on board. He was a "swiss-army" knife for his high school playing many different positions throughout high school. He appears ultra competitive and will be a playmaker in the secondary.
- Saiveon is ultra-athletic and is a kid the Jacks have watched for a number of years as he has attended team camp at SDSU. Possesses excellent speed and athleticism.
- Littleton is a player I have had my eye on for awhile but was unsure if would end up as a Jackrabbit. He is a terrific athlete who was banged up his senior year but should be good to go however the Jackrabbit coaches choose to use him.
Go Jacks!
-Matt
