Fall Camp Review: Day 6
The Jacks had an excellent practice on Sunday and then were off on Monday. However, the team did find time to make it to the pool where the players enjoyed the slide and an epic belly flop by a yet-to-be-identified player.

SDSU had a hot and humid practice on Tuesday with barely a breeze on the field. The tempo and energy again seemed good. There were also noticeably less players wearing purple jerseys.
Here are a few of my observations.
1. This was the first practice I have been at where they spent time on punt return. Taking reps as the punt returner were Brady Mengarelli, Marquise Lewis, Deyon Campbell, and Isaiah Hill.
2. While Coach Schleusner and Coach Arnheim were working with their special teams units Goedert and Wieneke led their respective position groups through drills. Just another example of the leadership the two senior, NFL-hopefuls, provide.
3. There was a scout from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at practice. He observed the tight ends, wide receivers, and defensive tackles. He was very complimentary of the facilities at SDSU and labeled them as "some of the best at this level."
4. Freshmen Seven Wilson and Noah Urbanek took reps as the number two linebackers today.
5. Watching Coach Eck work with the linemen is a thing of beauty. He is just a technician. As a former linemen myself, I'm just impressed with the level of detail that he coaches with. He is patient with the young players and makes sure that they understand the step/placement/movement before moving on.
6. 2nd team offensive line featured (from left to right) Greeneway, Lang, Domandle, Clark, Miller
7. During live field goal Vinatieri connected on 5/7 attempts including the last 4 from 40+ yards. Coach Jackson was impressed by the defensive players effort while laying-out attempting to block the field goal attempts.
8. O-Line vs D-Line one-on-ones were a back and fourth battle. Tolu Ogunrinde continued his tear and Wes Genant and Jacob Ohnesorge were again dominant.
Go Jacks!
