Jackrabbit Basketball Recruiting Update

I know that I am very football centric, especially on recruiting.  I thought it might be helpful to take a step back and see where the Jackrabbit basketball teams are at in their recruiting efforts for the next few classes.  We'll take a look at who has verbally committed to SDSU and provide a link to their highlights page so you can watch what they bring to the Jackrabbits.

Women's Basketball
Class of 2019
Tori Nelson- 6'0 wing from Henry Sibley High School in St. Paul, Minnesota

Regan Nesheim- 6'0 Forward from Johnston High School in Iowa

Kallie Theisen- 6'1 Forward from Wayzata High School in Plymouth, Minnesota

Class of 2020
Madysen Vlastuin- 6'0 wing from Lennox High School in South Dakota

Emily Herzberg-6'0 guard from Melrose-Mindoro High School in Wisconsin

Maddie Mock- 6'0 forward from Johnston High School in Iowa

Mesa Byom- 6'1 forward from Melrose-Mindoro High School in Wisconsin

Men's Basketball
Class of 2019
Owen Coburn- 6'10 center from Spirit Lake, Iowa

Baylor Scheierman- 6'6 guard from Aurora, Nebraska

Caleb Grill- 6'3 guard from Maize, Kansas

Douglas Wilson- 6'7 forward from Des Moines, Iowa via Kirkwood Community Collge

I can't wait to see these athletes in Brookings and for them to experience Frost Arena and the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls.  SDSU has created a national reputation for making the "Big Dance" in both men's and women's basketball and lets hope these athletes can continue that tradition.

Go Jacks!
Matt
